Settings for converting PDO to PDF using Pepakura Viewer 4 (free) Written and used by kasami / kasamikona ~ Pepakura print settings ~ Thickness of Line = 2 Print lines = Vector Print page number = NO Print alignment marks = NO Bitmap Resolution = Very High ~ Printing ~ Don't use "Print to PDF..." mode! It breaks text, especially non-English and seems to render at lower quality. Use normal "Print..." and select Microsoft Print to PDF (acceptable quality) or CutePDF Writer if you have it installed and configured as below (best quality). Don't check "Print to file"! Click OK on the print dialog and wait for the file save dialog. Set document properties appropriately, leave everything else unchecked and save. ~ CutePDF writer config ~ Change through the Devices and Printers control panel menu if you want these settings to be persistent! Print Quality = 2400dpi This will totally eliminate JPEG compression noise by giving it a way higher resolution than your printer can even achieve. If you need smaller files, 1200dpi is also acceptable. ~ Example document properties I used ~ Title = Papercraft Shinonome Nano (Seifuku) - NISEKE Subject = (blank) Author = NISEKE / Kasami PDF Export Keywords = (blank) Generally pull names etc. from text in source file and translate to English. WARNING: At the time of writing, CutePDF or GhostScript (not sure which one) is producing slightly broken text output for non-English text. You can print just fine but not copy-paste from the PDF viewer. Characters will be wrong.
